Dubai Souvenir & Southland Flavor Cafe 台南風味小吃 @ 081609

I hate Sundays. Sunday usually means going back to work the next day. Here I am on a Sunday night, thinking about work already.

Our friends came back from a long vacation today, and we picked them up from the airport. We are always fascinated by the amount of luggage they carry each time they go on a trip and today is no exception. We had to bring two cars to the airport to pick them up. After a long flight back from Dubai, our friends were exhausted.

Here is the souvenir our friends bought back for us: Kingdom dates. Mo-Mo is wondering how to eat them. Well, I will do it my Chinese way, which is to make soup with the dates, along with carrots and some Chinese almonds.


After we dropped off our friends at their home, it was already getting late and almost time for dinner.

Dinner - we went to this cute little Southland Flavor Cafe (台南風味小吃), a Taiwanese place, which is always busy.

Meow: Tomatoes & vegetables soup noodle (OK taste, bog bowl though).

Mo-Mo: Curry sauce over fried chicken steak on rice. Mo-Mo said the curry sauce was not as good as HK bistro places, and not enough to eat with all the rice.
